Here’s how it works
- Use the locations map above to search for a shared space near you (these aren't your typical branches!)
- Make sure you know your account number (account numbers can be found on your statement or in the mobile app)
- Have your valid driver’s license or state issued identification with you (the address should match the one appearing on your credit union account)
- Tell the credit union teller/representative that you are a member of Civic Federal Credit Union and want to make a transaction. It’s that easy

How can I join Civic?
Join online or in person at one of our branch locations.
If I’m an LGFCU member, can I use a Civic branch?
Our branches only offer banking services to Civic members. Once LGFCU member accounts officially move to the Civic banking system in Summer 2025, all members will be able to bank at our branches.
How were branch locations selected?
Our branch locations were chosen based on member data. Each location is within a 30-mile radius of at least 80% of Civic and LGFCU membership.
Who can be a member of Civic?
Civic is open to employees, volunteers and retirees of local government in North Carolina, and their family members. Businesses and nonprofit organizations that serve local government are also eligible. But membership opportunities don’t stop there. Get full details on membership options.
Are the co-locations open to the public?
No, co-locations are only open to the employees of the North Carolina local governments operating the co-locations.

4 Civic participates in select surcharge-free ATM networks. You can find the current list of surcharge-free ATM locations at civicfcu.org/any-atm. Other ATM networks may charge an ATM fee that Civic will reimburse, up to a total of $20 per month, beginning on the first day of the month and ending on the last day. If you are eligible for an ATM fee reimbursement, funds are typically released by Civic to your account within two (2) business days, but timing may vary.
5 Early access to direct deposit funds depends on the timing of the payer’s submission of deposits. We generally post such deposits on the day they are received, which may be up to three days earlier than the payer’s scheduled payment date.
6 Items transmitted using remote check deposit are subject to verification and may not be covered under our Funds Availability Policy. This means amounts over $500 are not available for immediate withdrawal.
