We’re excited to welcome LGFCU members for service at this location once your member accounts move to the Civic banking system in Summer 2025.
How can I join Civic?
Join online or in person at one of our branch locations by opening an account.
If I'm an LGFCU member, can I use a Civic branch?
Our branches only offer banking services to Civic members currently. Once LGFCU member accounts officially move to the Civic banking system in Summer 2025, all members can use our branches.
How were branch locations selected?
We chose our branch locations based on member data. Each location is in a 30-mile radius of at least 80% of Civic and LGFCU members.
Who can be a member of Civic?
Civic is open to employees, volunteers and retirees of local government in North Carolina, and their family members. Businesses and nonprofit organizations that serve local government are eligible. But membership opportunities don’t stop there. Get full details on membership options.

2 Early access to direct deposit funds depends on the timing of the payer’s submission of deposits. We generally post such deposits on the day they are received, which may be up to three days earlier than the payer’s scheduled payment date.
3 Civic participates in select surcharge-free ATM networks. See the current list of locations. Other ATM networks may charge an ATM fee that Civic will reimburse, up to a total of $20 per month per debit/ATM card, beginning on the first day of the month and ending on the last day. If you are eligible for an ATM fee reimbursement, funds are typically released by Civic to your account within two business days, but timing may vary.
4 Items transmitted using remote check deposit are subject to verification and may not be covered under our Funds Availability Policy. This means amounts over $500 are not available for immediate withdrawal.
