Civic Local Foundation Scholarship

Paying for a college or trade school education is expensive. If you’re a Civic member, you may be eligible for a Civic Local Foundation Scholarship. The Foundation administers the scholarship and is supported by Civic and its sister Credit Union, Local Government Federal Credit Union.

About the Scholarship 

Each year, we award 25 one-year college scholarships to graduating high school seniors and students attending colleges, universities and trade schools. All scholarships are for $5,000, payable in one installment to the school. The funds may be applied to tuition, textbooks, computers and other fees.

Are you eligible? 

If you’re a Civic member with an individual Savings Account or joint Savings Account with a parent or guardian, you may be eligible. You must also:

  • Have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Be a full-time undergraduate or trade school student
  • Submit official school transcripts
  • Include two references

Scholarship selection

The Scholarship Committee selects and notifies recipients in April.
