Our members matter to us, and so do their local communities. So, we’ve been traveling across the state hosting our latest series of in-person Local Connect events – inviting Civic and LGFCU members to connect with our credit union staff, volunteers, and local community members. All so we can be sure we’re showing up for our members the way they need us to.
“If we want to be a successful organization, we have to hear what our members’ needs are. And to do that, we have to build relationships.”
– Ken Noland, LGFCU Board Chair
Putting members first
Our teams spent time in seven cities across the state and one thing was clear: Credit union members help shape our future, just like they help shape their communities. So, we want to include them every step of the way.
At our Local Connect events, we shared updates for what’s ahead in 2024, provided digital banking demos, and showed our members how to get the most of their credit union. And our members gave us even more. They shared exciting ideas, provided honest feedback, and asked important questions that’ll help us to build our future, and to better serve NC communities.
“It’s definitely helpful to come and hear firsthand what is on the cusp for the credit union. If there’s an opportunity to sit and to be able to have the representation from so many different departments within the credit union, that speaks volumes about your commitment to this.”
– Pandora P., Member

Let’s stay connected
We’ve ended our latest Local Connect tour … for now, and our teams are busy taking what we learned from our members and using it to plan the future of our credit unions. We’ll keep you updated on where we’re headed next. In the meantime, we still want to hear from you! Send us an idea or request a group meeting with our team.
